I started my career as a functional consultant in Paris: specializing firstly in banking software, and then in business intelligence. Those five years gave me a solid base to launch myself professionally, so I started looking for another company. I wanted somewhere small yet international – and Orbium fit the bill perfectly.
I love working here, as there is a real sense of team spirit and we have a truly multicultural environment. I’m based in Luxembourg, and, at Orbium, we do our bit to keep up the city’s reputation for internationalism: we have 26 different nationalities!
On a recent project, I was test coordinator for an Avaloq migration. I got to work with a whole host of different teams, including the credit business, the forex and deposit department, and the development department. Getting such wide experience means you learn quickly! At the moment, I’m working as a business analyst across multiple subjects, including deposits, forex, and credit. I also had the opportunity to contribute to our corporate newsletter.
I’m looking forward to developing my career further, and I hope I can share my experience with newcomers, just as everyone did with me. The magic of Orbium is to have such a well-defined company culture while retaining the friendly feel of a small business
