Orbium Inaugurates the Opening of its Singapore Office
Zurich/Singapore, 15th April 2009 - Orbium has inaugurated the opening of its second international offices and its first Asian offices in Singapore. A permanent presence in Singapore is a result of the company’s growing international business and its importance as Avaloq implementation partner.
As a thriving financial hub, Singapore offers Orbium a strategic position and reach into the Asian market. The decision to open offices in Singapore is a reflection not only of Orbium’s continued commitment to the banking industry and the implementation of the Avaloq Banking System; but also of an increased commitment to the Asian market in general.
In line with Orbium’s internationalization strategy, it has chosen to ensure a local presence on all Avaloq markets to offer Avaloq clients local services and on the spot support. Orbium is sending a top notch team of consultants that have extensive and specialized knowledge of the Avaloq Banking System.
The Singapore office will be led by Manuel Anton, an Orbium Partner. With a Bsc in Computer Science, a Master in Economics from the London School of Economics, and numerous years experience at leading consulting firms, Manuel Anton is an authority in business and IT consulting. Manuel not only is one of the few implementers that has had the unique opportunity to develop some core Avaloq Banking System functionalities but in his eleven years of experience, he has also led the first international Avaloq Banking System implementation in Luxembourg.
Orbium Singapore will offer the same service offerings as its European counterparts, namely Avaloq services including project rollouts and release upgrades as well as consulting services including strategic IT consulting, business technology optimization, program and project management, IT project portfolio reviews & audits and system selection. Local staff and new recruits will be on hand to ensure clients receive the same high level service, customized care and fast responsiveness as our European clients. As an integral part of the Orbium Group, the Singapore branch will also be offering training services with the first courses starting in July.
