Banque de Luxembourg Go Live on Avaloq
Zurich, 2 November 2009 - Banque de Luxembourg (BdL), one of the most important financial institutions in Luxembourg went live on the Avaloq Banking System. The go live marked the end of an ambitious two year project which changed and defined BdL’s approach to IT. As one of the implementation partners on this project, Orbium would like to congratulate BdL for their successful implementation and go live on Avaloq Release 2.7.
Banque de Luxembourg is now the second Bank in Luxembourg to have the Avaloq Banking System and Orbium is proud to have supported the implementation in both banks.
The BDL project began in May 2007 as project NCS: New Communication System. As the name of the project implies, its objectives were more global than the implementation of a core banking solution but also entailed a new approach to their IT which included changes in banking technology, website and infrastructure.
Fundamentally the New Communication System project represented an opportunity for BdL to change their approach to IT and to implement a Core Banking Solution that will help them increase efficiency and reinforce their position the Luxembourg financial sector. BdL won this challenge and Orbium is proud to have been a part of this success.
